Created by Gary Farkas, Olivier Muller and Clement Lepoutre, Vixens will focus on genre movies, thrillers, social dramas and black comedies from emerging directors

PARIS — A trio of well-connected, young film bizzers, former Wild Bunch sales agent Gary Farkas, former M&C Saatchi exec Olivier Muller and Full House staffer Clement Lepoutre, are joining forces to launch Paris-based production company Vixens.
Unveiled in the run-up to Berlin, the company already has four projects in the pipeline, notably an English-language film revenge thriller initiated by Noomi Rapace, who will also star.
“Vixens will mostly focus on emerging authors and directors working on genre movies, thrillers, social dramas and black comedies,” explained Farkas, who joined Wild Bunch in 2010 and worked in international sales for four years.
Muller, Farkas and Lepoutre said they named their outfit Vixens in reference to Russ Meyer’s films because they remain “cult and subversive movies that carry a strong message.”

Although there is no shortage of production companies in France, Vixens carries a substantial advantage in its leadership: three players who have bold tastes and are plugged into the film and music community, not just with distributors and sales agents but also with international talent and artists.
Farkas was involved in Cannes’ Palme d’Or-winning “Blue Is the Warmest Color,” Oscar-winning “The Artist” as well as several upcoming Wild Bunch titles, notably Mark Osborne’s “The Little Prince,” Oliver Stone’s untitled Edward Snowden pic and Gaspar Noe’s “Love.”
Muller’s professional experience includes EMI Music France, where he worked on promotion and marketing for French artists such as Daft Punk, Air and Phoenix. Muller most recently worked as brand content manager for communication agency M&C Saatchi and was involved in the promotion of Cannes player “Seven Days in Havana.”
Lepoutre worked for the production company La Chauve Souris and the crowdfunding platform Your Major Studio before joining Full House, where he got to be participate in the production of Pablo Trapero’s Un Certain Regard contender “Elefante Blanco” and Laurent Cantet’s Venice-preeming “Return to Ithaca.”
